Agli Mtv Video Music Awards 2008 andati in onda la scorsa notte - seguiti e commentati in diretta da alcuni nostri lettori - ha trionfato Britney Spears. La cantante, reduce da molte disavventure personali, è riapparsa in piena forma e si è aggiudicata ben tre statuette: miglior video dell’anno, video al femminile e video pop, tutti per la sua “Piece of Me“.
La statuetta al maschile è andata a Chris Brown per “With You”. Per il miglior video rock è stato premiato “Shadow of the day” dei Linkin’ Park, per l’hip hop Lil Wayne (”Lollipop” feat. Static Major) e per l’esordio dell’anno sono stati scelti i Tokio Hotel. Di seguito l’elenco completo dei premi assegnati.
